This NYSSMA audition requirement is available for Trumpet, Clarinet, Flute, Alto Sax, and Trombone arranged in accommodating keys for all five axes, therefore these duets can be played in any combination. Simply put, this collection of duets is fun for everyone!

The performance tracks are easily assessable by simply scanning the QR code or by using the compact disc. Recorded in a “music minus one” fashion, the student can easily isolate each track and play along with some of the best musicians in the Los Angeles studio circuit.

About Chris Tedesco; This Los Angeles based Trumpeter has distinguished himself as a jazz soloist, studio player, chamber artist, orchestral player, and musician contractor for over three decades. His trumpet can be heard on numerous recordings for Movies, Television, Records & Commercials as well as performing on countless live dates with some of the biggest names in music.

Chris’s latest CD release is a self-produced jazz project, Chris Tedesco • “Living the Dream”. The music has been recorded in the style of Sinatra & Basie at Capitol records circa 1962. It features eight Big Band tracks as well as two thirty-piece Studio Orchestra tracks.

Tedesco’s movie credits include: Burlesque starring Cher and Christina Aguilera, Ironman, Finding Nemo, Road to Perdition, Batman Begins, Best in Show, The Mexican. His television credits include: American Idol, America’s Best Dance Crew, Ellen De Generes, Gossip Girl, King of Queens, The SAG Awards, The Latin Grammy’s, MAD TV, Star Trek, Fox NFL, Fox NBA, and Monday Night Football.

Recording credits include: Christina Aguilera, The Pussy Cat Dolls, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra Jr., Harry Shearer, Joe Cocker, Natalie Merchant, Cheryl Bentyne, Pat Boone, Dwight Yoakum, Royal Crown Revue, Diane Schuur, Cher, Paula Abduul, and Robert Goulet. He has also recorded hundreds of TV & Radio commercials including playing jazz trumpet for Lexus radio & Cars.com.

Amongst numerous live performances his notables include: Blood Sweat & Tears, Tom Jones, Shakira, Frankie Valli, Don Rickles, Johnny Mathis, Donna Summer, Michael Feinstein, Jim Belushi, John Tesh, The Moody Blues, Mel Torme, Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra Jr., Nancy Wilson, Jack Jones, Lionel Hampton, Joe Cocker along with many classical, jazz and pop groups throughout the Los Angeles area.

Chris has conducted master classes and concerts at numerous educational facilities yet enjoys teaching privately and maintains a full roster of students. He also has a Christmas CD titled “Joy to the World” and a classical recording titled, “Introducing Chris Tedesco”, but dearest to his heart is his incredible big band release, “Living the Dream”.
