Musetta’s Waltz (Puccini) • Intermediate Piano Solo

Giacomo Pucccini (1858-1924) was a highly criticized yet respected operatic composer of Italian descent. Although overshadowed by his fellow countryman Verdi, Giacomo created some memorable work.

Although his critics were not too kind, Puccini’s Opera “La Boheme” which premiered in 1896, certainly stood the test of time and became his greatest triumph. From this great opera comes a great little waltz simply known as “Musetta.”

Musetta’s Waltz has a recognizable melody and a familiar tune that will have you gliding along as if skating on air. Ideal for weddings or anniversary celebrations, this memorable Puccini classic arranged by Jonathon Robbins, would be a terrific addition to any piano repertoire.
