Beethoven’s Fur Elise for Flute and Piano
$8.95
Fur Elise, written in the late 1700’s by Ludwig van Beethoven, is considered to be a creative “work of musical genius.” Originally referred to as the Bagatelle No. 25 in A minor for solo piano, is one of Beethoven’s most popular compositions that was not published during his lifetime as it wasn’t discovered until forty years after his death.
This Beethoven classic was rumored to have been dedicated to another one of Ludwig’s love interests, a soprano by the name of Elisabeth Rockel but unfortunately, she too turned down his marriage proposal and ended up marrying Johann Hummel instead.
In either case, the masterpiece presented here, arranged for Flute and Piano by Jonathon Robbins, should not only be studied by every pianist but recognized and respected by every student of music.
This arrangement, originally transcribed for piano, has become one of our best-selling instrumental solos and recital favorites.
