Bach’s Two Minuets • Original Piano Solo

J.S. Bach is responsible for the two most popular minuets ever written and both just happen to be in the key of G. These two minuets have many similarities, not only because they are in the same key but each one of them seems to be an extension of the other and this is the reason we chose to combine them into one melodic masterpiece.

Initially, each of the themes are clearly stated in their original form. Then as the piece develops both melodic themes are intermingled, one playing over the other resulting in a crowd pleasing finale.

Two Minuets by Johann Sebastian Bach is a brilliant display of how counterpoint was typically used in the Baroque era. This magnificent “Signature Series” original was masterfully arranged and edited for intermediate piano by Jonathon Robbins.
